Weddings
Weddings are my bread and butter, my main source of income and the most fun to do than any other areas I cover, with headshots and portraiture a close second.
One of the main reasons I’m chosen over other photographers is my style of shooting.
I’m completely unobtrusive, take most of my shots from a distance (the one above was from 8 metres away) and I aim for the natural relaxed look as opposed to the rigid formal / posed shots of which there are far too many out there. ( I do formals too…I just don’t take an hour to take them).
I believe the last thing a bride and groom need is for the photographer to be getting all the attention instead of themselves. It’s their day after all isn’t it?
Attitude is another thing too, positive attitude. I still get excited when I talk with the bride and groom over their wedding photos in the pre wedding discussion.
I often hear from clients who have seen other photographers that they don’t seem to be interested or really care? Is this really the case?
A wedding consists of the most important people in the life of the bride and groom, the significance of being invited to such a personal moment in their lives is never overlooked or undervalued.
I take this with me wherever I work.
