Wedding Photography – Briana and Gareth
A Midsummer Nights Dream, a Choccywoccydoodah wedding cake, a bit of rain, a bit of sunshine, a marquee in a field, a vicar called John Peel and a meadow made up a lovely wedding day celebrating the union of Briana and Gareth.
On arrival rain was an issue and it got harder and harder leading up until the 30 minutes before the service….and then it stopped and never really came back!
St Peter and St Paul Church in Ash – It’s not alone!
Firstly…the vicar John Peel is a very loud and slightly eccentric one…but lovely all the same:
Brian and Gareth were wed at the St Peter and St Paul Church in Ash near Sevenoaks. For any wedding photographers doing research on this lovely building please note there is more than one St Peter and St Paul Church in Ash, or at least the immediate area.
Going 3 miles to the wrong church is not a good thing. Fortunately because I did a dry run beforehand I found this out in advance.
I always visit venues if they are somewhere new and this has always stood me in good stead!
Church Weddings
I love a good church wedding. The light always falls in such a beautiful way, every vicar has their own set of rules as to what you can and cannot do and to be fair, sometimes it forces me to be more creative and think outside of the box.
In this particular wedding I had to stay at the back of the church at all times but I still took some terrific shots.
The Marquee
After the Ceremony we all went to the adjoining field where there was a lovely Marquee set up and were we spent the rest of the day.
We also utilised a nearby meadow for some pictures too!
It was a lovely reception with a Midsummer Nights Dream theme running throughout and the Choccywoccydodah wedding cake looked amazing.
