Nonsuch Mansion Wedding – Steven and Jennifer
Right, first things first. SORRY. There, I said it. What for might you ask? Well, it’s been such a hectic August that I’ve neglected the blog.
It’s actually been madder than a basket full of cats if I’m honest. I’ve had 7 weddings to cover and process since the beginning of this month and those take priority above all else.
Unfortunately because of this blogging has taken a bit of a back seat as has updating the galleries on my main site.
As with every cloud though there’s a silver lining and I’ve had some a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y cracking weddings this month and they will be up over the coming weeks. (Only two weddings this September so I can at least get back on top of things).
One thing I have learnt from this month is to take time out for myself…at one point I was working so hard to meet deadlines that I was overlooking the small things…like paying the congestion charge last week…..Wednesday morning a £60 fine pops through my letter box, £180 if not paid in two weeks…thanks Boris!
Anyway, pictured above are the lovely Steven and Jennifer Ardagh. Gorgeous couple with a personality to match.
They chose to have their wedding at Nonsuch Mansion in July of this year. It was very vintagey (is this a word?) in it’s theme and decor with lots of nice touches throughout.
Jennifer and her bridesmaids got ready at The Petersham Hotel (note to other togs, Sat Nav hates the postcode) with Steven getting ready upstairs in Nonsuch which has a simply huge space to work in with lots of light.

Upstairs in Nonsuch Mansion is ideal for bridal preparations, it's a big white space with lots of light.
Nonsuch Mansion Ceremony Areas
There are two areas that I know of that can be used for the ceremony. At this point in time I don’t know what dictates which are used but I really recommend the room with the bay window if only from a selfish point that the photos will look best taken there.
Special mention has to go to the staff, namely Jade and Lucy who organise this smooth sailing ship. They really are on the ball with things and are fab to speak and work with.
Nonsuch Mansion – Other points to note
Once you’ve stripped away the stunning flocked wallpaper, high ceilings, huge windows and fabulous management of Nonsuch Mansion there’s still the sprawling and scenic gardens to explore and use.
This place is a photographers heaven, truly there are so many canvasses to work with I could do 10 weddings here and still have aspects to work with that haven’t been tried yet.
Based on creative opportunity alone Nonsuch Mansion is my favourite venue of the year so far.
Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Photography
Jade and Lucy have been kind enough to name me as a preferred photographer for Nonsuch Mansion which is quite a humbling but also exciting as I know I’ll be back sooner rather than later.
