London to Brighton Veteran Car Run 2010

A cold but clear day awaited those arriving

I love photographing weddings but combine this with the other areas of photography I do and my social life effectively stops.

Now that the wedding season is quietening down I can go out and indulge myself and recharge those batteries!

Lewes bonfire night on Friday was the start and now today the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run which takes place every year ending at Madeira drive on Brighton seafront.

Hundreds of cars built prior to 1905 were there, some under their own power, others……. being pushed.

The day was clear and crisp but much better than the terrible rain last year apparently (this was my first time there).

A nice day out if you get the time to go and see it!

Lewes Bonfire Night

Last night was my first trip to Lewes Bonfire night.

This celebration has to be seen to be believed and I strongly recommend ear plugs due to completely random members throwing cherry bombs.

Just when you think the parade has finished you’ll find one of the members leaning against a wall throwing more of them!

Gemma Souter was in the studio a couple of weeks back to complete some promotional work for her hairdressing business.

Gemma does Bridal work as well and is very accoplished (and proud) of what she does.

Diva Hollywood, the artistic, whip cracking burlesque performer was in for a studio session recently.

Lots of work was completely, mainly retro and vintage, some easy and some challenging….

…..some involved cracking two bull whips and setting off all the local dogs too!

Booheads, my portrait and promotional side of Chris Giles Photography welcomed Blema Etrey to the studio.

Blema is a contortionist as well as a breakdancer and bodypopper.

He’s also completed work for the BBC and teaches dance in London, a really nice guy to work with and we took some terrific pictures.
